The facility is located near Boston, Massachusetts. This airport is the main one for three American airlines: JetBlue Airways, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines.
The airport was founded in 1923. At first it was called Boston Airport. Also at that time, the airport was known as Jeffery Field. At the first stages of its existence, the facility was used mainly for basing military aircrafts. Regular passenger flights began in 1927. The pioneer in passenger transportation was Colonial Air Transport.
